Patch notes for version 0.4705
Hostile Takeover » Devlog
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a game crash when the Timed Explosive detonated with no characters in range.
- Fix a bug that allowed infinite turrets to be placed on a single cell.
- Fixed a glitch that let you cast Buffs infinite times by clicking invisible buttons.
- Fixed a glitch that let you enhance cards an infinite number of times by clicking the card over and over during the enhancement animation.
Gameplay
- Mid Combat Saves: The game is now saved at the start of each turn. No more will you lose all the hard work and strategy you put into a combat when the game crashes! Uh, I mean if the game crashes.
- Clones: Clones have been entirely reworked. Now there is only one type of clone and they aren't targetable (though they can be destroyed if a character ends their turn in the same cell). Clones instead allow the Ninja to attack as if from their origin as well.
- This means if you have a clone next to an enemy but you are 10 cells away, you can still attack that enemy with a Range 1 attack card.
- Boss Upgrades: Boss upgrades have been (potentially) fully added to the game. After defeating a boss you will be given two upgrades to choose to install, one for each character. One of these will always be a "Power" upgrade that increases Power, increases Gain, or reduces Cost, while the other will be a "Wildcard" upgrade that has otherwise powerful effects.
Events
- Hijacking (New): Can choose to kill other contractors to steal their loot. Each character loses 6HP but gains a random Neutral upgrade.
- Primed and Ready (New): Choose a card for one character to be Primed.
New Perks
- Clone Only: Can only be cast from a clone's location.
- Finale: When a deck is shuffled, always placed on the bottom.
- Horrified: Apply +1 Exhaust to all enemies adjacent to you.
- Primed: When a deck is shuffled, always placed on the top.
- Sneak Attack: Removed (Stealth no longer exists).
- Stalker (Reworked): Deals +1 damage for each Clone of yours.
Status Effects
- Power Drain removed as a status effect.
- It happened too quickly at the start of a turn and was confusing. It's now immediately applied as soon as the enemy damages you, and randomly chooses any card in that character's deck to give -1 Gain to for that encounter.
- Power Drain removed as a status effect.
Card Balance
- Dodge (Ninja Starter): Move 2 cells and leave a clone behind.
- Doppelganger (Ninja): Place a clone anywhere within 6 cells.
